PRO 12, General Santos City- One (1) man died during the entrapment operation through Buy-Bust named Marjoy Cahumnas Macahidhid a.k.a Dodong, 30 years old, male, married, maintenance personnel and a resident of Barangay Bula,General Santos City.
At about 8:45 am October 07,2019 , joint elements of RPDEU 12, RID 12,CIB,GSCPO and PS6,GSCPO in coordination with PDEA 12 conducted Buy-Bust Operation at Alvarez Compound, Purok 4B, Barangay Bula, General Santos City which resulted in a short firefight against the aforementioned suspect.
The suspect was wounded and immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for medical intervention but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Confiscated during the operation were one (1) unit caliber 9mm homemade UZI pistol with SN 842691 inserted with one (1) piece magazine containing seven (7) live ammos, three(3) pcs FCC 9mm, three(3) pieces deformed bullet case, one (1) piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu (buy bust item), eleven (11) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu which recovered from his possession and control with estimated total weight more or less 1 gram and estimated DDB Value amounting to Eleven Thousand Eight Hundred pesos (Php 11,800.00 ) and one (1) pc five hundred peso bill marked money (Php 500.00) bearing serial number K593505.
Charges for violation of section 5 and 11, Article II, of RA 9165, RA 10591 and Direct Assault will be filed against the DPO suspect through regular filing.
