184 exiting 4Ps beneficiaries in LDS get livelihood aid

TAMPARAN, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–Some 184 individuals received Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG) worth P15, 000 each under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) implemented by the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD).

The payout was held simultaneously in the municipalities of Tamparan and Lumba Bayabao on Monday, November 8.

123 of the beneficiaries were from Lumba Bayabao while 61 were from Tamparan.

The recipients were all Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) household beneficiaries whose client status is exiting or those families that no longer have monitored children attending school.

With this client status, the assigned Municipal Links will prepare them for their eventual exit through the transition, exit procedures, and proper endorsement to the receiving local government units for the implementation of sustainability plans such as post-service interventions and referrals.

These exit plans include the provision of livelihood assistance through SLP which will serve as their additional or start-up capital for their chosen microenterprise as well as undergoing capacity building to ensure their productivity and income-generation even though they will no longer be beneficiaries of 4Ps.

Aside from the livelihood assistance, each beneficiary also received 25 kilos of rice. (MSSD-BARMM)
