Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a 30-minute switching power interruption on October 11 and 12 affecting customers in Davao City Downtown and Toril areas.
These service disruptions will be necessary to facilitate upgrading works at Davao Light Ponciano Reyes Substation.
The 30-minute power interruption on October 11, Sunday, will be anytime between 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.. This is necessary to transfer load from the affected substation to nearby lines to avoid longer duration of power interruptions.
Meanwhile, the 30-minute power interruption on October 12, Monday, will be anytime between 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. to facilitate normalization or return of load back to its normal set-up.
Specifically affected are customers in most parts of Davao City downtown, namely C.M. Recto Avenue, Quirino Avenue, Roxas Avenue, San Pedro Street, A. Pichon Street, C. Bangoy Street, Rizal Street, Bonifacio Street, Palma Gil Street, Padre Gomez Stret, Illustre Street, Governor Duterte Street, Legaspi Street, Inigo Street, Bankerohan, Marfori, Mt. Apo Street, Mt. Mayon Street, Sandawa, Gravahan and neighboring areas.
Also affected are customers from Gaisano Grand Mall Toril going to Binugao, including Catigan, Sirawan, Baracatan and nearby areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
