CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)–About 400,000 residents of the city had registered at City Hall’s Higalaay web portal ahead of the vaccine rollout program, acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said Tuesday.
“During (Tuesday’s) webinar , it was mentioned (by City Hall’s Department of Information Communication Technology) that there are 400,000 Kagay-anons at the Higalaay web portal. I asked the DICT if we can interconnect with the Department of Health’s own online registration system and they said it can be done,” Nery said.
She added that the DOH online registration required additional health information not specified in City Hall’s Higalaay web portal, which was launched late last July before the 2020 city fiesta.
“The Higalaay web portal and the DOH website should be able to exchange health information seamlessly. Our IT specialists in City Hall said that’s possible,” she said.
Nery said a separate webinar will be held between City Hall’s IT specialists and the DOH’s IT team to reconcile their systems in order to build an extensive database of identified recipients of the national government’s COVID-19 vaccines.
The DOH already completed its ‘‘Training of Trainers’ last week on the city’s medical personnel who will be tasked to administer the COVID-19 vaccines. (CIO/PIA10)
