MARAWI CITY — Despite the limitations on movements brought about by the Enhanced Community Quarantine implemented by Marawi City and Lanao del Sur local governments, the Action Against Hunger (AAH) has continued the delivery of water supply for domestic and potable use of the internally displaced persons in this city.
With the additional 15-meter spiral hose donated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on April 18, 2020, AAH will extend the coverage of its water supply to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) isolation facility in the province.
A total of 10 cubic meters (cu. m.) of water per day will be delivered to the isolation facility located in Purok Badak, Barangay Emie Punod.
To date, AAH continues to provide water trucking services to the 218 displaced families sheltered in Rorogagus Transitory Shelter Site.
As water is a crucial ingredient in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, AAH increased the delivery of water by adding another 10 cu.m. per day. From the 30 cu.m. target per day, AAH now delivers 40 cu.m. to the transitory site.
The continuation of these services was made possible with the coordination between the PLGU Lanao del Sur, ICRC, Task Force Bangon Marawi and National Housing Authority. (AAH)
