Bangsamoro gov’t transports 3,500 relief packs to LDS

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–The Bangsamoro government dispatched 3,500 relief packs to the provincial government of Lanao del Sur on Saturday, September 4.

The activity dubbed “Ayuda Mula sa Bangsamoro Government” is a convergence effort of the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) through its Project Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan (TABANG), Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG), Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (BARMM-READI), and Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD).

The relief goods comprised of 2,500 variety of food items from BARMM-READI, 1,000 bags of rice from MSSD, and 10,000 hygienic kits from Project TABANG.

These were sent off to Lanao del Sur in response to the call of the provincial government.

“Ang tulong na ito ay regular na ginawa natin sa BARMM dahil nakikita natin ang paghihirap ng ating mga kababayan. We will do more kung saan kailangan, magpapadala tayo, ito ay bahagi ng Moral Governance na ina-advocate natin,” said BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim.

[We regularly do this help in BARMM because we see the suffering of our countrymen. We will do more where needed, we will send, this is part of the Moral Governance that we advocate.]

According to MSSD Chief-of-staff Lyca T. Sarenas, Marawi City and the municipalities of Marantao and Wao will be initially served with the “Ayuda Mula sa Bangsamoro Government” trip.

“In response to the request of Gov. Adiong to the OCM, 28 barangays muna [first] in Marawi, 16 barangays in Wao, and possible additional barangays in Marantao. Tuloy-tuloy ang ayuda na iyan habang tumatagal ang lockdown [the aid will continue while the lockdown persists],” she said.. (BIO/PIA Lanao del Sur)
