Brgy execs convey gratitude for new complexes

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–Following the inauguration of four barangay complexes in the most affected area (MAA) here, barangay captains conveyed their appreciation to the government for the support they extended down to the barangay level as part of their assurance of the city’s recovery.

Among the barangays which received their own halls are Barangays Datu Naga, Data sa Dansalan, West Marinaut and Moncado Kadingilan.

“It is with indescribable joy that Brgy. Datu Naga receives, accepts and inaugurates its new barangay complex,” said Datu Naga Barangay Chairman Khaliq Gandamra Jr. in his message of gratitude.

He cited that the infrastructure is significant to them as it does not just establish a landmark in their area but eases as well the delivery of their officials’ service to the community.

Moncado Kadingilan Barangay Chairman Nawaz Lucman further said that such inauguration of complexes depicts their soonest return to their homes in MAA.

Datu sa Dansalan Barangay Chairperson Norolyn Dangcal Bongaros underscored that their barangay hall is a symbol of peace and unity, stability, and a brighter future for their constituents.

Meanwhile, West Marinaut Barangay Chairperson Sarah Asnarezah Abato expressed how overwhelmed they are for receiving not only the physical infrastructures but also hope to face the days ahead of them.

“I would like to extend our utmost gratitude in providing not only these barangay complexes but also for giving us hope to rebuild our home and a hope for a better future for us, for our children, and the next generation,” she said.

The barangay complexes are comprised of a barangay office, Madrasah, and health center, and their construction was funded through the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management – Marawi Recovery, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Sur)
