Police Regional Office 12 –General Santos City Police Office Buy-bust entrapment operation put drug peddler behind bars on Thursday, April 16, 2020.

At about 12:06 PM of April 16, 2020, operatives of General Santos City Police Office, Station 1, in coordination to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 12 conducted entrapment operation at Darimco St. Silway, Brgy. Dad. West General Santos City against Policarpio Caputli Bael, 45 years old, a resident of Silway San Juan, Barangay Dadiangas West, General Santos City.

After the team proceeded to the said area to conduct the said operation the poseur buyer successfully consummated the transaction the poseur buyer gave the pre-arranged signal to his colleague which resulted in the successful arrest of the suspect.

Recovered from the possession and control of the latter was the buy-bust money of Five Hundred peso bill (500.00), the object of sale which the Poseur Buyer had successfully bought from the suspect was one (1) piece small rectangular heat-sealed of transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”.

The estimated grams are more or less 0.300 grams of suspected shabu and DDB value of illegal drugs is more or less Php 500.00 pesos confiscated/recovered from the possession of the suspect while the exact results of the seized drug item during the operation will be reflected on the Progress Report after the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 12 conducted Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis in relation to the Chain of Custody rule.

Meanwhile, the arrested suspect was duly informed of his constitutional rights by the arresting officer and subjected to physical/ medical examination, while the seized items will be forwarded to Regional Crime Laboratory Office 12 for qualitative and quantitative examination.

A case for violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared for filing to the City Prosecutors Office, GSC against the Bael through inquest proceeding.
