CAMIGUIN (PIA)—Responding appropriately to coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic, the Provincial Government of Camiguin reported their utilization of the P23.6 Bayanihan Grant with an estimated period of completion by August 2020.
Among the priority purchases of the provincial government include the laboratory reagents for the Camiguin General Hospital (CGH) and Provincial Health Office (PHO) with a total budget of P3,528,650.
Benefitting 253 medical and health workers, and other personnel, the local government also allocated P1 million for the procurement of fuel expenses of medical or health workers of the PLGU.
Hospital supplies amounting to P200,000 is provided to CGH as well as the hospital equipment worth P16.2 million.
About P2.64 million is allocated for the food expenses of medical and health workers, and other personnel for the PLGU Camiguin.
The Bayanihan Grant to Provinces is intended for the augmentation of the funding requirements for the operation of provincial, district, and other local hospitals operated by the provincial government, for COVID-19-related expenses. (RTP/PIA10)
