CAMIGUIN (PIA)–Seeking ways to help Camiguingnons who are in isolation units or at their homes during quarantine, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) here proposes to have an online consultation with a guidance counselor and a Zumba instructor for sessions at home.
In the Network Briefing with Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Sec. Martin Andanar, May 19, SK President Lucile Salvani said, “We have seen many are really struggling in the isolation and their homes.
Hindi sila sanay sa isolation. We are looking for guidance counselors that they [residents] can ask personally through social media.”
Salvani said the mental health of the residents should be a priority as well so they can easily cope with the new normal brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As for physical fitness, the SK president said online sessions are possible through a Zumba instructor.
“Para po productive po sila [residents] sa kanilang mga bahay (So they can be productive even in their homes),” she added.
Currently, the province has zero probable, suspect and confirmed cases of COVID-19 and the SK is targeting to maintain such by being a good example to their constituents.
“Ito po ay hindi lang para sa kabutihan ng isang lungsod ito po ay kabutihan para sa lahat (This is not only for the welfare of the area, this is for the welfare of everyone), Salvani said. (RTP/PIA10)
