CBS China Bank Savings, the country’s second-largest thrift bank, is opening new locations in Visayas and Mindanao as part of an aggressive expansion plan in support of the region. New branches will be in Panabo City, Davao del Norte and South Coast Center, Talisay City Cebu. At the same time CBS is upgrading the CBS Davao-Toril branch, moving it to a new location in the G Mall of Toril. The two branches in Davao region open on November 7 and 8. The Talisay branch in Cebu will open on November 18.

With the series of openings, CBS will have a total of 38 branches, APDs, and branch-lites in Visayas, and 35 branches, APDs, and branch-lites in Mindanao for a total of 73 in VisMin.

CBS has been very active in the region. The Bank was a sponsor of the 33rd Mindanao Business Conference held in General Santos last September. At the conference, the Bank engaged with business owners and leaders facilitating a discussion on innovative financing practices in support of SMEs. Financial Wellness programs were also held for Department of Education Faculty and Staff across multiple locations in Visayas and Mindanao, helping teachers understand how to better manage their personal finances. The CBS APD Lending Group was also mobilized in support of the DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela 2024, delivering donations for the program across the region.
