CHO: Vaxx drive for kids will lead to F2F classes

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–During the launching of the ‘Resbakuna Kids’ campaign in Robinsons Iligan, acting city health officer Belinda “Bunz” Lim said the vaccination for 5 to 11 age group will not just protect the kids but will eventually lead to allowing them to go back to face-to-face (F2F) classes.

Lim said the kids have the right to go out of their houses since they easily get bored. Their goal is to vaccinate 57, 480 kids in the City so that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) will not doubt to approve having F2F classes.

“Ato jud ni silang ipaready, iprepare aron na naa pod silay proteksyon sa ilang lawas batok sa Covid -19 ug aron makaagwas napod sila sa balay. Ang pinaka-improtante aron maka face-to-face na sila puhon sa eskwela.

[Let’s get them ready, prepare so that they have the protection of their body against Covid -19 and so that they can get out of the house. The most important thing is to allow them to attend face-to-face classes.]

Lim, who is also the Emergency Operations Center Health Cluster Manager, said that F2F education is different from online or virtual education. Hence, she called on other parents to get their kids vaccinated.

Philippine Pediatric Society North Central Mindanao chapter president Amelita Maria Hamoy also affirmed that the development of children should be prioritized which can be done if they are vaccinated and protected from the disease. (LELA/ PIA Iligan)
