DA, San Miguel Foods distribute 15K fresh eggs to front liners

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)—Front liners from various government agencies and media outlets here are among the recipients of the 15,000 fresh eggs from San Miguel Foods, Inc. through the Department of Agriculture (DA)-10, April 22.

“Nagdistribute ta ug chicken eggs nga gidonate sa atoa sa San Miguel Foods Corporated. Kaning mga itlog ipanghatag nato sa atong mga front liners sa atong PNP, sa atong partner agencies, dayon sa atong empleyado. At the same time sa media kay kinahanglan pud naa ta’y dugang nga makaon,” DA-10 Regional Executive Director Carlene Collado said.

(We distributed chicken eggs, which are donated to us by San Miguel Foods Corporated. These eggs will be distributed to the front liners from PNP, our partner agencies, then to our employees. At the same time, we give eggs to our media because we also need to add something on what we eat)

About 110 trays of fresh eggs are distributed to 10 national line agencies here, 64 trays to 16 media outlets, and 20 trays to Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC). Some 100 trays of eggs will also be distributed to the front liners in Lanao del Norte, April 23.

“Kani pasalamatan gyud nato ug dako ang San Miguel because last week naghatag sila ug 10,000 nga balut which gihatag pud nato sa atong mga font liners sa atong PNP, sa empleyado and sa uban nga agencies. I hope nga dili lang karon lang ni makahatag ang San Miguel Foods,” Collado added.

(We are very thankful to San Miguel because last week they also gave 10,000 balut eggs, which we also distributed to our front liners from the PNP, employees and other agencies. I hope that this is not the only time when San Miguel Foods will share something to us)

The fresh eggs were primarily donated to the agency to provide nutritious food to its front liners but DA-10 initiated to share such to also show appreciation to other agencies that aid in containing the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 in the region. (RTP/PIA10)
