Dansalan College Alumni Association distributes PPEs to frontliners

MARAWI CITY, Apr. 28 (PIA) — Extending additional support in the fight against coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the 1DC Dansalan College Alumni Association here distributed  400 washable personal protective equipment (PPEs), 500 disposable face masks and 400 washable face masks to frontliners in this city and Lanao del Sur.

The PPEs are distributed to Amai Pakpak Medical Center, Integrated Provincial Health Office of Lanao del Sur, Marawi City Health Office, and Marawi City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.

“It is 1DC’s way of expressing how grateful we are to all the frontliners for their sacrifices to make sure that we all heal as one, here in Marawi and Lanao del Sur,” said Baicon Cayongcat-Nuska, president of 1DC.

The PPEs were procured in Manila with the help of Captain Ron Villarosa of the Philippine Army.

The 12th Civil-Military Operations Battalion led by Lieutenant Colonel Andres Soriano provided assistance in transporting the PPEs from Cotabato City Airport to Marawi City.

“Thank you to 12th CMO for ensuring that it reaches our frontliners. Indeed, doing our response together makes our fight against COVID, better,” Nuska said.

Task Force Bangon Marawi also provided support in bridging the alumni association with the Philippine Army.

The Islamic City remains under enhanced community quarantine with curfew hours from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm in line with the observance of Ramadhan. (LELA/ PIA ICIC)
