Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. together with Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. officially turned over sacks of Pilmico flour to the members of the Samahan ng may iba’t-ibang Kakayahan sa Dabaw (SAKADAB), a group of differently-abled persons working together to gain financial sustainability and be self-reliant in the Gawad Kalinga community in Los Amigos, Davao City.
This is part of the livelihood recovery project for Cooperatives/MSMEs of Aboitiz Foundation nationwide to help them recuperate from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The donated products will help SAKADAB members to produce more bakery products which they can sell in order to sustain their bakery business.
Davao Light believes that everyone, including the differently-abled persons, should not be left behind in the efforts towards supporting livelihood opportunities under the circumstance of the new normal.
