Davao Region gets over 1M Covid-19 vaccine doses

DAVAO CITY – The Davao Region has so far received more than one million coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine doses as of Wednesday.

In a statement, the Department of Health in Region 11 (DOH-11) said the arrival of 133,900 doses of AstraZeneca jabs at the Davao International Airport on Wednesday morning brought the total number of vaccine doses in the region to 1,085,810.

Of the number, a total of 853,600 doses were already distributed to the local government units (LGU) for the first and second doses of their vaccination drives.

A total of 611,838 were already administered – 479,936 for the first dose which is equivalent to an 88.3 percent utilization rate while 131,902 for the second dose or a 42.5 percent utilization rate.

Of the 853,600, DOH-11 said Davao City got a total of 324,715 for the first dose while 199,535 for the second dose.

Davao del Norte received 70,540 vaccines for the first dose while 26,140 for the second dose.

Davao de Oro got 45,940 vaccines for the first dose while 23,640 for the second dose.

Davao del Sur received 45,220 jabs for the first dose and 21,250 for the second dose.

Davao Oriental received 39,960 jabs for the first dose while 19,360 for the second dose.

In Davao Occidental, a total of 17,100 jabs were allotted for the first dose and 10,200 for the second dose. (PNA)
