MARAMAG, Bukidnon (PIA)–The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bukidnon led the orientation to the LGU Maramag’s Technical Working Group on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict on Capacitating Urban Communities for Peace and Development (CUCPD) Program.
Headed by Cluster Head Maria Maida Daniot together with Municipal Local Government Operation Officer (MLGOO) Amy Propia, the conduct of the program aims to empower the grassroots in addressing peace and development concerns by providing necessary government services and interventions.
It is also one of the initiatives formed for the implementation of Executive Order 70 to end communism.
Mayor Jose Joel P. Doromal encouraged the participants to actively participate in the discussions, emphasizing the program’s relevance in determining specific interventions.
He added that the implementation of the program in the municipality aims to preserve the peace and harmony in the locality.
The Municipality of Maramag has been chosen as the pilot implementer of the program in the Province of Bukidnon.
Daniot discussed the Concept of the Retooled Community Support Program, while LGOO VI Elaine Basco discussed the Salient Features of EO 70 and the Operational Framework of CUCPD. (DILG Bukidnon/PIA-10/Bukidnon)
