DILG-MisOcc evaluates Jimenez isolation facility

JIMENEZ, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–In an effort to effectively address and manage the expected surge in the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) promptly acted on requests from local government units (LGUs) for the use of Department of Education (DepEd) schools as places for quarantine or isolation.


DILG Misamis Occidental assessed and assisted Jimenez town for the usage of Jimenez National Comprehensive High School-Senior High School Department as a temporary quarantine or isolation facility.


This aims to conscientiously ensure that the purpose for the usage of the school is within the parameters of rules, regulations and directives issued by the national government and in full cooperation towards a unified, cohesive and orderly implementation of the national policy to address the COVID-19 outbreak.


Led by DILG Cluster Head Sanivier G. Patoc assisted by Engr. Kleanoure Emperio and Engr. Buen Enri Tumilap in coordination with the functionaries of Jimenez municipality conducted the Assessment of the identified Isolation Facility on April 23, 2020.


This is in pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-062, DepEd Office Memorandum OM-OSEC-2020-002 and consistent with the provisions of Resolution No.16 dated March 27, 2020 by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID). (DILG10/PIA10)
