MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA)–To further aid in speeding up recovery from COVID-19 pandemic in the province, the Department of Health (DOH)-10 brought 300 AstraZeneca vaccines in Camiguin, March 12 via Guinsiliban Port.
Witnessing the arrival of AstraZeneca vaccines in the province together with Gov. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo, Mambajao Mayor Yñigo Romualdo said, “300 health workers and personnel sa Camiguin General Hospital and Catarman District Hospital ang target workers na ma-vaccine; 300 kabuok AstraZeneca vaccines ang niabot.”
(We targeted 300 personnel from Camiguin General Hospital and Catarman District Hospital to be vaccinated; 300 vials of AstraZeneca have arrived in the province)
Held at Mambajao Central School, the inoculation was witnessed by DOH-10 and the local officials of the province. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Gretchen Cabalang is the first to be inoculated in the province.
“The vaccination of our health workers and personnel gives us hope of a better tomorrow, a better normal and of course a safe and healthy Camiguin,” Mayor Romualdo said.
The vials are currently stored at Camiguin General Hospital. (RTP/PIA10)
