CAMIGUIN, Oct. 31 (PIA)—In improving labor and employment governance starting at the barangay level, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 inked pact with barangay leaders of Mahinog and Guinsiliban as well as with Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC) in institutionalizing the Barangay Public Employment Service (BPES) and Job Placement Office (JPO), October 28 at Villa Paraiso Resort and Apartelle, here.
DOLE Regional Director Joffrey Suyao signed the memorandum of agreement with Dr. Macario Oclarit, PhD of CPSC, Guinsiliban Mayor Helenio Abecia, Mahinog Mayor Rogerio Acle, and the 13 barangay leaders of LGU Mahinog and 7 barangay leaders of LGU Guinsiliban.
DOLE Camiguin Provincial Field Office Chief Emmanuel Toledo said the positive response and cooperation of the LGUs strengthened the employment facilitation and data gathering in their respective barangays.
Such institutionalization also targets to improve the coordination and collaboration among the Public Employment Service Offices of the LGUs, DOLE, CPSC and the barangays. (RTP/PIA10)
