
CAMIGUIN, Mar. 9 (PIA)–To address issues concerning labor and employment disputes in the tourism industry, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Camiguin instituted the Grievance Committee for the Hotel, Resorts, and Restaurants Industry Tripartite Council, February 26 at Havendwell Beach Resort, Mambajao.
Issues such as low salary complaints in the workplace, wrongful dismissal, and among others will be handled by the Grievance Committee. They will be responsible for case management and complaint settlement incorporating the rules and regulations of the department.
All establishments like souvenir shops, restaurants, and others who are under the Camiguin Tourism Association are included in the scope of the committee.
The Industry Tripartite Council serves as a forum for tripartite advisement and consultation among organized labor, employer and government in the formulation and implementation of labor and employment policies. (Marc Ian A. Salem/PIA10)
