JIMENEZ, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-10 thru its Provincial Science and Technology Center Misamis Occidental turned over a check amounting to P345,200 to the Rural Improvement Club Malibacsan Inc. thru the Municipal Government of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental, July 15.
DOST took part in putting ideas into realization leveraging Science and Technology as the RIC-Malibacsan Inc. composed of women members embraces the “new normal” in the implementation of a project dubbed Technology Upgrading Relating to Manufacturing Efficiency for Rural Improvement Club-Malibacsan Inc. (TURMERIC-Malibacsan).
“There is so much more to do, naa na mga pamaagi sa paglambo magkugi pa ta ug pananom ug Turmeric ug uban pang tanom para mapadayon ang project na pwede nato mabutang sa atong Pasalubong Center (As technology becomes available, let’s plant more Turmeric and other crop of the same value for product processing. Products will then be showcased in the municipality’s Pasalubong Center),” Mayor Rosario Balais said.
As the LGU-Jimenez with its beneficiary, the RIC-Malibacsan, geared for the realization of the project, DOST10-PSTC Misamis Occidental will continue its effort in crafting ideas to propel the community’s economic condition amidst the pandemic. (DOST-10/PIA Misamis Occidental)
