The Department of Science and Technology XI (DOST XI) Metrology Laboratory maintained its accreditation from the Department of Trade and Industry-Philippine Accreditation Bureau (DTI-PAB) based on the PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification in the fields of calibration.
The recognition was given following the extensive surveillance audit conducted by DTI last April 2023.
The accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 enables DOST XI Metrology Laboratory to demonstrate its compliance with international standards and maintain a quality system to generate reliable results relative to testing, sampling, and calibration.
According to DTI, the accreditation is a ‘well-deserved recognition’ of the laboratory’s commitment and hard work of the laboratory personnel in the development and implementation of laboratory management systems.
DOST XI Regional Director Dr. Anthony Sales said that the recognition is also a reinforcement of the Agency’s commitment to bringing excellent services to the customers.
“This accreditation manifests our team’s unyielding pursuit of quality that truly defines us. As we continue to serve our community with the highest standards, this recognition will help us move forward and make a lasting impact to the communities we serve,” he added.
The laboratory accreditation is valid until September 1, 2026.
