MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, Dec. 14 (PIA)–The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Occidental urges the residents of the province to support local entrepreneurs through #LoveLokal: A Christmas Basket Campaign.
The Christmas basket project features products of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Misamis Occidental.
The basket is crafted from local materials such wood, coco coir, romblon, tikog, etc., by local craftsmen and women and is designed by local designers who successfully graduated from the recently concluded Modernong Obra, Disenyong Atin (MODA) Manlilikha Designer Course of DTI’s One Town, One Product (OTOP) program.
Handcrafted baskets are filled with processed condiments such as vinegar, coco sauce, sugar, coconut oil, and honey products; processed food such as bagoong, alamang, and bangus; as well as fresh processed food and other farm produce.
The baskets are priced from P300 to P1,000. Customers can also have a customized Christmas basket depending on their own budget.
