DTI, TESDA continue to offer training programs to aid entrepreneurs in Camiguin

CAMIGUIN (PIA)—Aiding small business entrepreneurs start, develop, innovate, and promote their business in the midst of coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) along with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Camiguin Provincial Offices conducted the Negosyo sa Barangay seminar.

Held at Barangay Poblacion Hall, Mambajao, more than 20 small business entrepreneurs attended the seminar, which includes training on food processing and product demonstration by the Camiguin School of Arts and Trades (CSAT).

TESDA Camiguin Provincial Office also promoted other programs through their affiliate schools. 

TESDA Provincial Director John Simborios said CSAT offers Cookery NC II, Driving NC II, Trainers Methodology Level I, raising organic chicken leading to agricultural crops production (ACP) NC III.  

Meanwhile, Fatima College of Camiguin offers Computer Systems Servicing NC II. Camiguin Polytechnic State College offers ACP NC I and NC III.

Simborios urges interested individuals to avail of TESDA’s scholarship programs and to pre-enroll so they can be accommodated when the schools officially open for training. (RTP/PIA 10)
