POLICE Regional Office 12 –T’boli MPS nabbed five persons caught engaging in a Cock Fight in T’boli on the afternoon of April, 19, 2020.
In line with intensified campaign against Anti-illegal Gambling and all forms of gambling in the whole Region on April 19, 2020 at around 2:30 PM T’boli MPS received information from concerned citizen that there were group of persons who engaged in cock fighting activity.
Immediately elements of MGOC Municipal Police Sub-Station responded to Sitio Lubia, Brgy. Basag, Tboli, South Cotabato verify the said report and to conduct investigation.
Upon arrival of the operating team, some bettors noticed the patrol vehicle of said station and hurriedly ran in different directions but with the help of Brgy. Officials and BPATs the team apprehended the following persons Anthony Narciso, 28 years old Mannuel Marco Jr, 26 years old, Gerald Jade M. Cagandang, 20 years old, Jay Roie M. Quilot, 26 years old, and Bartolome Tadle, 59 years old, all are resident of Brgy. Glamang, Polomolok, South Cotabato, and confiscated one (1) fighting cock and bet money.
The arrested persons including confiscated fighting cock and bet money in different denomination were brought T’boli MPS for proper disposition and for filing appropriate charges against the suspects.
“It is sad that despite all the reminders and all the restriction we implement against illegal gambling in midst of our current situation there are still persons who doesn’t want to listen and cooperate, let me all remind you that PNP PRO 12 are still on regular duty, All violators of the law will be arrested and punished with competent punishment”
