DAVAO CITY – Globe celebrates their iconic prefix ‘917 Day’ highlighting a virtual amusement park called GIFLand as it levels up with the latest innovations as a reward for both its loyal and new customers while at the same time empowering them to support the wider community through its ‘Bayanihan’ spirit.
Chief Commercial Officer Issa Guevarra-Cabreira said, “Here at Globe, innovation is a way of life as we commit in fulfilling our customers’ needs in an ever changing context.”
Globe annually celebrates 917 Day or September 17 by treating them at a line-up of exciting “GDay Everyday” events that aim to spread ‘Globe of Good.’
April last year, Globe had 500,000 customers who donated their points raising P36 Million for the benefit of health workers, frontliners, and medical institutions.
Today, the month-long celebration of GDay Everyday kicked off as early as August with the opening of an amateur mobile gaming tournament G-Legends Cup. The gaming event participated by 1,000 game stations nationwide, lasts till September 22. Proceeds from the games will be donated to chosen beneficiaries.
A ‘GSuper Sale’ in partnership with Lazada and GLife on September 5 to 19 will surely excite “add-to-cart” shoppers for “sulit hunting” deals that give value to customers’ hard-earned money and in turn energize businesses.
Globe also features GMusic Fest happening on September 25 and 26 for those who want to get heart-to-heart with popular music bands.
A GSummit will also gather technology giants from Facebook, Zoom, and several others on September 18 to share insights and help businesses find opportunities in these extra challenging times.
Daily ‘GRaffle’ draws will also be conducted while up for grabs on September 23 is the one million-worth of GCash credits on the grand raffle.
