DAVAO CITY – Globe Telecom continues to bridge the digital divide in the country especially to those who need it the most by removing price barriers and making fast fiber internet accessible to all.
Globe Telecom during the hybrid event that linked media men from cities of Manila, Davao and Cebu via a live streaming event, presented their latest partnerships, innovations, product solutions and even upcoming events and offers during the Globe Innovation Fest. The event was held at Sotogrande Hotel in Davao City on Thursday.
Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu during the hybrid event showed a timeline of Globe’s dedication to improve the lives of Filipinos starting in 1993 scaling up to the series and lates innovations, products, and solutions to address what he described as Filipino’s “pain points.”
He highlighted an ecosystem of services accessed by its customers ranging to health, finance, education, e-commerce, and entertainment. He said that through all of these digital solutions, Globe aims to deliver the kind of service and care that Globe customers can count on.

Filipinos can now go on-line for as low as P5 for a minimum of one hour of internet access, and for P20, they can enjoy 12 hours of high speed internet connection through its TMBayan Fiber WiFi.
As a pioneer in prepaid fiber, Globe is maximizing its fiber footprint by launching TMBayan Fiber WiFi, the first of its kind unlimited prepaid fiber. With TMBayan Fiber WiFi, sari-sari stores and other small businesses, town plazas, community centers, and other neighborhood convergence areas can become WiFi hotspots or “tambayans,” with unlimited connectivity available at affordable prices.
Globe is offering a new Go+99 promo to all their prepaid subscribers for as low as 99 pesos with up to 7 days of validity. You will get 8GB of open access data that you can use to access any of your favorite sites and apps.
Globe launched in September the Virtual Hangout (VH) Metaverse that delivers a “phygital” experience, bringing together the physical and digital worlds to give customers a whole new way to interact with their favorite communities powered by Globe. It allows users to create their avatars, chat with each other, make video calls, and participate in interactive activities within the portal.
Even Globe employees have their own virtual space or VH Metaverse called the Globe Hangout Tower.
Globe has partnered with Google Philippines to provide a suite of flexible online training programs to equip low-income students and jobseekers with job-ready skills.
Under the collaboration, Globe and several government stakeholders will invite qualified recipients for the Google Career Certificates program and track their progress.
Globe will make the new service accessible to its Globe Prepaid and TM customers, partner schools and local government units.

New York-based and non-profit NABU is another partnership milestone with Globe that strives to advance learning through technology especially on underserved children who have scarce access to books and other learning materials.
Tanyella Allison, CEO and Co-Creator of NABU, said this partnership with Globe will promote accessible literacy for all children in the Philippines. NABU’s unique reading app, will offer free, data-less download access to original children’s stories written in various regional Filipino languages including Tagalog, Ilokano, Bikolano, Maranao, Hiligaynon as well as English.
