Housing units in Provincial Employees Village converted into COVID-19 quarantine facility

MARAWI CITY (PIA) — The provincial government of Lanao del Sur (PLGU LDS) has converted its housing project for provincial employees into a  quarantine facility in preparation for an increase of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the province.

Forty-six (46) newly constructed housing units at Purok Badak in Barangay Emie Punod in Marawi City will be utilized for COVID-19 patients or suspects in the city and province.

“This is a temporary shelter for the employees from the provincial capitol which will be temporarily used as community quarantine facility,” said Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong, Jr. in Maranao in a video posted by Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur Facebook page.

The units are equipped with water and electricity, facilities and furniture. The facility is also surrounded by fences and has an installed sanitation tent at the entrance.
