PRO 12, General Santos City – A 42-year-old woman visiting his husband at South Cotabato Rehabilitation and Detention Center (SCRDC) was arrested for possession of suspected shabu worth One Hundred Two Thousand Pesos (Php 102,000.00) on October 6, 2019, at about 8:30 AM.
Joint elements of Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) of South Cotabato PPO led by PLT DENNIS MEDEL together with PDEA 12 led by SI2 Raymund Parama and Koronadal City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (KCPDEU) responded at SCRDC after Felicito Gumapac, OIC Provincial Jail Warden informed the unit about the seizure of illegal drugs.
Investigation revealed that Joy Gallego Marcera, 42 years old, married and a resident of Prk Daisy, Brgy Avanceña, Koronadal City visit her husband Jeffrey Ladaran Marcera, SCRDC detainee charged for violation of RA 9165. Upon entering, she was subjected to the routine inspection conducted by PG1 Ivy Joy B Duriman who discovered the illegal items concealed in the sole of sandal worn by suspect Joy Gallego Marcera.
Seized were three (3) big pack heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated total weight of more or less 15 grams.
The inventory of the seized illegal items was witnessed by Brgy Kagawad Danilo Delos Santos, Print Media Reporter Juvy Legarta and PG1 Ivy Joy B Duriman, Apprehending Officer with the presence of the suspect.
Seized illegal drugs were turned over to PDEA South Cotabato for proper disposition.
