Police Regional Office 12- A reported stolen motorcycle was recovered and suspect was arrested in an immediate response made by Sto. Niño Municipal Police Station to a report of a suspicious person who is pushing a motorcycle on November 2, 2019.
Police report revealed that at about 10:55 am of said date, a cellphone call was received by Sto. Niño MPS from Police Staff Sergeant (PSSg) Rodnie Gulmatico Serrano, a PNP member of said station informing that Hon. Helen Prudente, Brgy Councilor of Brgy Poblacion, Sto. Niño, South Cotabato was asking for a Police assistance to verify an unidentified male person who was seen pushing one (1) unit Honda XRM motorcycle (MC) in front of their house situated near a Gasoline Station, Prk San Vicente, Poblacion of said Municipality.
Upon receipt thereof, Police Chief Master Sergeant (PCMS) Allan Ortegas and Police Staff Master Sergeant (PSMS) Cezar Gonzales left station on board mobile patrol car and responded to the place verify the said report.
Thereafter, responding PNP personnel returned to the Police together withAlbert Catitrilla Ortiz, 18 years old, single, jobless and a resident Brgy. Tamnag, Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat together with one (1) unit Honda XRM motorcycle, color black/white, bearing plate number 9174 MO, chassis number XRM18004264 and engine number XRM18E004268 for proper verification after the said possessor failed to present any pertinent documents of said MC.
Consequently, close coordination with other police stations was conducted by Sto. Niño MPS. It was discovered then that subject motorcycle was reportedly stolen at Brgy Tamnag, Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat and owned by Jess Bimbao Quimsing of Brgy. Liwanay, Banga, South Cotabato.
Investigation disclosed that the above named owner reported the said motornapping incident at Lutayan MPS at about 11:00 am of same date.
With the information at hand, subject person was put under arrest and temporarily placed under custody of Sto.Niño MPS together with the recovered MC and will be turned-over to Lutayan MPS for filing of appropriate charges.###PSSg Rea Gatinao###
