Japanese org eyes livestock industry dev’t in NorMin

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)–The Agricultural Livestock Industry Cooperation (ALIC) of Tokyo, Japan, headed by Senior Adviser for Research Department Makoto Kobayashi pays a courtesy visit to DA-RFO 10 OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado.


ALIC aims to study and collect updated data and information on the supply and demand situation of cattle and beef of foreign countries such as the Philippines.


The team is also set to visit some livestock farms and feedlots in the region.
Among the Mindanao regions, they have only chosen Region 10 as their study area due to its notable cattle and beef production.


ALIC is a semi-government organization in Japan that facilitates Japanese agricultural and livestock producers to stabilize the supply and prices of the products, which are mostly imported. (DA10/PIA10)
