LANAO DEL NORTE –The Municipality of Kapatagan, this province, is among the recipients of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Performance Challenge Fund (PCF).
This is an incentive fund granted to eligible Local Government Units (LGUs) for having passed the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) in 2019.
Moreover, this is given to LGUs exhibiting good performance in internal housekeeping particularly in the areas of transparency and accountability, fiscal management, planning, and valuing performance monitoring.
DILG-10 granted the Municipality of Kapatagan the now completed Road Concreting of Section E. Aranaydo Street to E. Jalalon Street Project (PCF 2019) in Poblacion. The concreting started on October 23, 2020 and was completed on January 22, 2021—30 days earlier from its target date of completion dated February 21, 2020.
Kapatagan also availed DILG’s Assistance to Municipalities (AM) Program composed of local road (AM 2019) and drainage system (AM 2018) projects located in Sitio Putol, Poblacion.
The AM program seeks to equitably assist all municipalities in the delivery of basic services by providing financial subsidy to municipalities for the implementation of their priority programs and projects.
As of press time, the road has served more than hundreds of vehicles both public and private, and thousands of communities passing by the streets of Aranaydo and Jalalon, and Sitio Putol, Poblacion. (DILG-LDN)
