ILIGAN CITY (PIA) — The city government of Iligan has imposed new stringent measures as part of its continuing efforts to contain the transmission of COVID-19.
Mayor Celso Regencia issued Monday, March 23, Executive Order 33 to limit the influx of people going inside the city.
Under the EO, only LGU designated officials can enter Iligan City for purposes of purchasing/pick-up/loading commodities for their constituents.
Entry of such officials is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only. They must also bring the following: LGU-issued identification card or any proof of employment; travel order/permit issued by the local chief executive; certification or sworn statement that he has no travel history; and certification that the vehicles used are officially designated by the local chief executive.
Only two LGU-official vehicles are allowed per city/municipality with two persons per vehicle, inclusive of the driver.
Moreover, the passengers must undergo the normal procedure conducted in checkpoints. He/she must also wear a mask and bring hygiene kits such as 70% alcohol or hand sanitizer.
The EO also advised residents of neighboring cities, municipalities or provinces who are working in Iligan City to adopt the work at home scheme or arrange accommodation in Iligan City.
On the other hand residents of Iligan City who are working in the neighboring cities, municipalities or provinces are also advised to adopt the work at home scheme or arrange accommodation in the area where their company or workplace is situated.
Meanwhile, all car and ID passes issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force will no longer be acknowledged as entry and exit pass in all entry points of the city.
All barangay officials are also directed to strictly implement home quarantine in their respective barangay, otherwise, they will be held administratively liable. (APB/PIA ICIC)
