LGU Lanao del Norte holds COVID-19 forum with doctors

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA) — The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, through the Provincial Health Office, organized a meeting with doctors from the Provincial Hospitals, Doctors to the Barrio, Municipal Health Officers, Lanao del Norte Medical Society, and Private Hospitals in the province on Tuesday, April 7, at the Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium, here.


The meeting was aimed to come up with a system of guidelines that all medical practitioners within the province will follow to have uniformity of actions to be taken, particularly in referring patients from one medical facility to another.

Provincial Administrator Sittie Aminah Quibranza Dimaporo, who represented Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, expressed her gratitude to the doctors who attended the meeting despite the current situation.

She also encouraged them to ask questions, share suggestions, or present ideas that may be helpful to further improve the health care system in Lanao del Norte. 


Dr. Teresa M. Reponte, Provincial Health Officer, presented during the forum the unified COVID-19 algorithms. She also discussed the guidelines of primary care, hospital care, and personal protective equipment use by health care workers.


Right after her presentation, the doctors were allowed to express their observations and constructively exchanged ideas to better improve the health care system, particularly in the Provincial Hospitals.


Meanwhile, Provincial Information Officer and  Incident Management Team (IMT)  Commander Lyndon G. Calica assured that the IMT is doing its best to observe the protocols and to cater to the needs of frontliners, especially the doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel. (PIO LDN/PIA ICIC)
