CAMIGUIN, March 9 (PIA)– To promote physical fitness in town, the municipality of Mambajao opens registration for the Mambajao Summer League 2020 until March 31.
Currently, the sports committee are preparing the venue and equipment needed for tournament which will start on April 3.
Basketball and volleyball games, being the highlights of the event, are divided into inter-barangay and open (basketball) and inter-agency and open (volleyball men and women) categories.
For basketball, inter-barangay category is intended for ages 15 below and ages 16-18. Open category is divided into ages 25 below, 26-39 years old, and 40 above.
For volleyball, the open and inter-agency (21 and above) categories will be divided into two; men and women divisions.
Gilbert Grado, Municipal Sports Coordinator, said they are expecting 50 teams per category to participate in the games.
