MisOr commemorates 121st CSC Anniversary thru photography contest, exhibit

MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)–In commemoration of the 121st Civil Service Anniversary, the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental (PGMO) through the Human Resource Management (HRMO) office held its Photography contest and exhibit with the theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes” for its provincial capitol employees.

Participated by 11  individuals from various departments and offices of the provincial capitol, the event aims to showcase original photographic materials depicting the unparalleled efforts and desire of public servants to serve the general public amid the changing times brought the coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic.

Present at the event were the panel of judges who were Jinky Rosit from the Provincial Information Office, Kurt Jacob Waga, and Lawyer Jeffrey Saclot from the Provincial Tourism Office to assess the submitted works which will be awarded cash prizes of  P5,000 for the first placer, P3,000 for the second placer, and P2,000 for the third placer.

In pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, series of 1997 declaring the month of September as the Civil Service Month and Public Law No. 5, “An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands,” the PGMO honors its workers for their efforts in providing quality public service in the midst fo the global health crisis.
