NFA Camiguin conducts bag-to-bag inventory count

MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA)–To ascertain the physical existence and condition of all items falling under Inventory Items for Sale and Empty Sacks as recorded in its Books of Accounts, the National Food Authority (NFA)-Camiguin conducted a bag-to-bag count of stocks, May 29, 2020.

NFA’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) number GM-WH12 prompted the provincial office for a bag-to-bag count instead of a volumetric count.

The said SOP under Methods of Counting states that a bag-to-bag count with 100 percent weighing shall be conducted if the aggregate inventory level of the warehouse during the supposed date of actual counting is 5,000 bags and below, and no bag-to-bag count was made within a period of six months.

The semi-annual inventory count was witnessed by the Provincial Inventory Committee chaired by Provincial Manager Leo V. Damole. (NFA Camiguin/PIA10)
