To provide awareness on the various programs and services of the Overseas Workers Welfare Adminstration (OWWA) and its partner government and private entititles and other stakeholders, the OWWA – Regional Welfare Office XI held various activities for the OFWs and their families in selected provinces of Region XI.

Highlights of the event include skills and livelihood fair to showcase the various programs and services of OWWAR, partner government agencies and some beneficiaries who promoted their manufactured products for the OFWs and their families and the conduct of OFW Family Fun day which aims to gather OFWs and their families to spend quality time with their loved ones amid the backdrop of fun and wholesome entertainment during the holiday season.

This year’s events were in partnership with the different local government units and in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of respective municipalities.

Among the activities conducted during the event were raffle draws, showcasing of talents of the different OFW Family Circles, livelihood fair, skills demonstration, free manicure, massage and haircut, and services from the different partner government agencies like DTI, TESDA, POEA, DSWD, SSS, Pag-IBIG, Philhealth and PSA.

The conducts of Skills and Livelihood Fair and various OFW Famiy Fun Day in the different provinces of Davao Region has given a great opportunity to the OFWs and their families to know the mandate of OWWA and the programs and services they may avail of.
