OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)—Ozamiz City purchased additional brand new Toyota Hiace Commuter Deluxe vans to be used as a shuttle service for the locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) from different airports, seaports, and borders.
Due to the cancellation of flights in Ozamiz Airport, most of the repatriates are forced to re-route their flights to Cagayan de Oro City, Dipolog City, and Pagadian City. The city government extended help to the returning residents to provide a more convenient vehicle back here in 0the city.
“Now, we understand that some of our people here in Ozamiz are worried because these LSIs and ROFs might carry the virus, but rest assured, that we, your leaders will always be on top of the situation and we won’t let any harm happen to a single Ozamiznon.”
Facilitating the return of LSIs and ROFs is part of the Hatid Probinsya Program and a mandate of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. (SMRN/PIA Misamis Occidental)
