OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–Police Chief LtCol Shirwen Lapiz has been relieved from his post and was reassigned to the first district.
Lapiz expressed his gratitude to the people who supported during his thrust programs on drugs, terrorism, insurgency, and other forms of criminality.
Lapiz said, “Bisan pa man sa kamubo sa panahon sa akong pagserbisyo sa dakbayan isip hepe sa kapolisan, akong gipasalamatan ang tanang misuporta sa akong mga programa ug mission dinhi sa Ozamiz City (Even in my short stint as chief of police here in the city, I am thankful to those who supported by programs and mission here in Ozamiz).”
He also urged the people to do the same with the newly installed police chief in order to remain the peace and order in the city.
Lapiz rendered his service for 10 months as police chief of Ozamiz City.
The officer said his new assignment is a big challenge and responsibility given its wide coverage.
