Ozamiz provides healthy meals to COVID-19 frontliners

OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–Frontliners responding to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat here are given nutritious food to stay healthy, as they perform their task of protecting the public against the disease.

Policemen, city health workers and other government personnel who have been logging long hours at their work were given freshly cooked meals to keep them healthy and to boost their immune system.

City Nutrition Officer Lelith Gallo Navarez said, “We’re happy that our local government headed by Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal has been doing a great initiative in helping our frontliners here, as they are serving the public.”

The City Nutrition Office has been ordered to provide meals– breakfast, lunch and dinner, to frontliners.

“We are not just preparing meals but also we are serving our police officers and health personnel with love and commitment,” Navarez quipped.

The free meals are the city’s way of helping its frontliners amid the enhanced community quarantine to contain the spread of COVID-19. (SMRN/PIA10)
