CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, June 18 (PIA)–Based on the latest omnibus guidelines from the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF), the Philippine National Police (PNP)-10 no longer requires travel authority throughout the region.
During the NorMin COVID-19 Response Task Force press conference, June 18, PLtCol Mardy Hortillosa, PNP-10 spokesperson said interzonal travels to areas with the same community quarantine status “like MGCQ (Modified General Community Quarantine) to MGCQ movement, pwede na siya nga wala’y (that is possible without) travel authority except for leisure.”
Since the whole of Region 10 is placed under MGCQ, Quarantine Control Points (QCPs) will no longer require travel authority for movements to and fro any province of the region.
“Kung naa kay trabaho unya naa kay adtuan nga importante sa laing probinsya, wala na’y travel authority nga pangayuon sa (If you have a work and you need to go to other province (within the region) for important reasons, travel authority will not be asked in) Quarantine Control Points,” the spokesperson added.
Even with the ease of movements, PNP-10 reminds the public to still follow quarantine protocols and to only go out of their homes for important matters since coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 still has no cure and one may get infected easily.
Movements for other purposes will be monitored closely by the PNP-10 and charges will be filed against those who do not abide by the rules and regulations. (RTP/PIA10)
