OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)—To ensure efficiency and improvement on services, the Philippine National Police-Police Regional Office (PNP-PRO)-10 led the blessing and turn-over ceremony of the newly constructed standard type police station building in Oroquieta City, here.
“This day brings our commitment to address the current and most pressing issues such as achieving peace, stability, security, and development that rely not only on the human aspect but also reservedly on the ability to make use of our buildings efficiently, sincerely, and with a sense of urgency as well.
For his part, City Mayor Lemuel Acosta said the building symbolizes teamwork in Oroquieta, and a manifestation of PNP’s confidence in Oroquieta.
The mayor promised to extend more financial support for the requirements of the newly-built Oroquieta City Police Station.
“The commitment will continue for the substation in City Plaza for quick response and another substation in Talairon for the expansion of police forces. Senator Zubiri also committed P2 million for the police building,”Acosta said.
Meanwhile, PNP-10 Regional Director PBGEN Rolando Anduyan expressed his gratitude to the City Government of Oroquieta for their support on the completion of the police station.
“Indeed, our concerted efforts to expand the center and to modernize the facility and materials for increased effectiveness and productivity of daily operations have been materialized through this new structure. We are not here as a king, we are not here as a master, we are to serve the people of Oroquieta, MisOcc, and the whole Region 10,” Anduyan said. (SMRN/PIA Misamis Occidental)
