OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–The Philippine National Police (PNP) – Ozamiz has apprehended some 183 violators since the implementation of the general community quarantine in the city.
PLTCOL Shirwen Lapiz said there were 87 violators for Liquor ban, curfew with 48 violators, not wearing of face masks with 17 violators, social distancing with 11 violators and smoking in public with 2 violators from March 18- May 8, 2020.
Ozamiz City Police station will continue to implement the law as long as there are residents who continue to violate the city’s executive order.
“Cases will be filed against those arrested who were meted out fines based on the provisions of the law,“ Lapiz said.
The violators of the general community quarantine (GCQ) will face outright arrest and imprisonment. (SMRN/PIA10)
