POINTY gives free face masks, sanitizers to Bukidnon frontliners

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (PIA)—To address the insufficiency of personal protective equipment (PPE) of some frontliners in the fight against Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through our Youth (POINTY) Inc – Bukidnon chapter distributed face masks, sanitizers, and gloves at the three entry points in Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

POINTY Inc. Bukidnon president Crill Joy Paligsa said the 403rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade provided the raw materials they used in the mask-making.

“We were able to produce 93 face masks. Without delay, we distributed it for free to the health workers and uniformed personnel assigned at Kalilangan checkpoints,” Paligsa said.

She said they worked with Kalilangan municipal police station, in coordination with Bukidnon provincial police office, to bring it safely to Manubiray, Maradugaw, and Bangbang checkpoints.

“As POINTY Bukidnon amplifies the call to help address the shortage of PPEs for the frontliners, this group of young people calls on those who want to help or share anything to just message us directly through our  Facebook page. This is the only way we can help our countrymen in this time of crisis.

We salute all the frontliners who are doing their best to stop the spread of COVID-19. We must be able to help them even in small ways like this,” she said. (RDL, 403rd Inf Bde, 4ID, PA/PIA10)
