ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) inaugurated the newly constructed Police Station 4 in Robinsons Place Iligan Complex, Brgy. Tubod, this City.
PNP chief PGen. Guillermo Eleazar graced the opening ceremony of the said police station and conveyed gratitude to the RLC for constructing the station.
“Let me thank the Robinsons Land Corp for treating PNP as a special friend and partner by giving us this precious gift of a new home to the Iligan City Police Station 4,” he said.
Eleazar said the station will symbolize the continuous partnership towards a peaceful and progressive city.
The PNP chief emphasized that police stations serve as front desks of PNP in providing services to the citizens. With the newly constructed station, services will be more accessible to the residents in the area.
Eleazar also hoped that police stations all over the country will be the face of their organization.
“Our police stations are the window to the soul of PNP kung saan ang lasting first impression ng ating mga kababayan ay doon nagsisimula [where the lasting first impression of our countrymen begins],” he said.
The PNP Chief also conferred awards to deserving personnel of the Iligan City Police Office.
To recall, during the visit of RLC to Mayor Celso Regencia in 2015, the local chief executive requested RLC to provide employment to the residents of the city and to help him build a decent police station in Tubod.
The construction of the said station commenced after the Memorandum of Agreement between PNP and RLC was signed on July 12, 2019
The construction of the station serves as a way for the RLC to support the peace and order efforts of the local government towards the achievement of economic development and progress.
