SINACABAN, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–Sinacaban town continues its effort to boost the govenrment’s vaccination program as the number of COVID-19 cases increase in the province.
During the Network Briefing News with PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar, September 8, Sinacaban Sangguniang Member Raem Naranjo said the residents are willing to get vaccinated, “Ang senior citizen natin dito more than 50 percent na ang nabakunahan at saka ‘yung ibang sector mga 20 percent na, ang turnout naman ng vaccines na naisuplay dito nauubos naman during the scheduled vaccination.”
(We have vaccinated more than 50% of our senior citizens and 25% from the other sectors. We have used up all the vaccines delivered to us during vaccinations)
On the implementation of the General Community Quarantin (GCQ0 in the province, Sinacaban Sangguniang Member Raem Naranjo shared the security measures of the town, saying, “Yung ginagawa namin dito sa Sinacaban, kino-comply lang namin ‘yung basic protocols ng gobyerno kagaya ng pagsusuot ng face mask, avoid naming ‘yung gatherings na pang-maramihan, at konting restricted travels, at saka ‘yung pagbabakuna talaga pinapaigting namin kasi tumutulong ‘yung mga local officials, nag-iikot kami sa barangay at nag-explain kami sa kahalagahan ng pagbabakuna natin.”
(We comply with the basic protocols of the government like the wearing of face masks, avoiding mass gatherings, and we restrict travels. We really strengthened our vaccination program and our local officials roam around the barangays to explain the importance of the vaccine)
As for the COVID-19 isolation facility of Sinacaban, Naranjo said aside from the Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park (MOAP) area, they have an infirmary hospital where they can bring positive patients in case the other facilities are full. They also coordinate with their Municipal Health Office and around 6 or 8 rooms can accommodate positive patients.
“Let’s remain united sa pag-improve ng ating Sinacaban. Asahan niyo na marami pa kaming tulong at marami pa tayong pagtutulungan ng ating bayan sa Sinacaban,” Naranjo added.
