TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)–During the Network Briefing News with Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, Tubod mayor Leoncio Bagol said they have a partnership with Magsaysay town to maintain peace and order.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was recently signed between the Local Government Units of Tubod and Magsaysay to establish an Inter-Local Government Cooperation for peace and development.
According to Bagol, farmers and workers from Tubod pass through the roads of Magsaysay as such peace and order should be maintained.
He also noted the significance of the partnership between other local government units to attract more tourists to their area.
“Kailangan natin masustain ang peace at order at pangalawa, ginagawa natin na meron tayong plan dahil sa tourism. Maraming gusto idevelop pero dahil partner ang Magsaysay, hindi tayo pwede makipagkumpetensiya. Magsuportahan tayo para maraming maattract na tourist sa atin,” he said.
[We need to maintain peace and order and secondly, we make sure we have a plan because of tourism. There are many we want to develop but because Magsaysay is our partner, we cannot compete. We will support each other to attract more tourists.]
Bagol said that unity and collaboration are key to progress and development and that if peace and order will be maintained, there is progress.
The mayor also shared that the municipality is known for its tourist spots such as springs. He said that with the construction of the Panguil Bay bridge, more tourists will visit their municipality. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Norte)
