ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–With the city recognizing agriculture as one of the livelihoods of Iliganons, Vice Mayor Jemar Vera Cruz evaluated the local government’s agricultural program as exemplary and very satisfactory.

He said the city has been delivering various assistance to its people, especially agriculture services along with its vital components.

“Usa sa mga programa nato nga I would rate very high and outstanding ang grado nato is agriculture, helping out our farmers sa technical and ang farm inputs,” said Vera Cruz.

The vice mayor also noted that the city’s agriculture still has needs, specifically roads to connect farms to the market.

“Ang ato lang kulang didto is to give them access sa road from their farm up to the market. Hopefully, with the help of the government, national and local, kini matabangan ug matubag kini nga problema,” he said.

As part of their continuing agricultural aid in communities, the City Agriculture Office distributed seedlings to farmers at Sitio Kapisahan in Brgy. Mainit during the City Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict’s serbisyo caravan Wednesday, July 28. Farmers were also encouraged to register themselves to make farming their profession and avail more benefits intended for them. (CRG/PIA-ICIC)
